Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect as little as possible. The only analytics on this site is Google Analytics, we use it to understand traffic — not to advertise to you — and anything you send us through the contact form is used to reply to you, and nothing else.
Overview
Cabana Code LLC ("Cabana Code," "we," "us") operates cabanacode.com. This policy describes what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only — products and projects under the Cabana Code umbrella carry their own policies.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, email address, and a note about your project. We use it to respond to you, and for nothing else.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how long people stay, approximate location (city level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, and how visitors found us. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf and handled under Google's own privacy policy. We do not use it for advertising and we do not share it with anyone else. You can opt out at any time with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
Cookies
The only non-essential cookies on this site are the ones Google Analytics sets (such as
_ga) to distinguish visitors. You can block or delete them in your browser
settings — the site works fine without them.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads or advertising trackers. We don't buy information about you from anyone, and we don't combine analytics data with your contact details.
Data retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as our correspondence needs them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' controls, set to the shortest window Google offers.
Your rights
Want to know what we have, or want it deleted? Email hello@cabanacode.com and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may also have statutory rights to access, correct, or delete personal information — we honor those requests regardless of where you're from.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted plainly — no silent edits.
